Requirements

  • Must possess valid Driver’s licence with clean abstract
  • Must possess an Interprovincial Journeyman Millwright license or Red Seal
  • Minimum 3 years field experience
  • Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, e-mail and internet)
  • Knowledge of building mechanics, Hangar door systems, control systems, BMS system (Trane/Siemens) Mechanical system operation, MIG welding, CMMS
  • Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be detailed oriented
  • Ability to meet Air Canada medical standards through a medical examination
  • Employment is subject to meeting Transport Canada security requirements and obtaining a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP).
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibly of the candidates applying for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Must obtain a 5th Class Power Engineer certification during the probationary period if not already held

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs on mechanical equipment, including Hangar Doors, Overhead Doors, Fire Doors, etc.
  • Install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery using welding equipment, hand, and power tools.
  • Conduct building inspections to ensure compliance with Building Code standards.
  • Work safely, following industry standards, while completing various facility-related tasks.
  • Work independently or in a team, under pressure, and in shift rotations, including weekends and on-call duty.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
