About The Position
Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I in Camarillo, CA Build your future at Curia, where our work has the power to save lives. The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for completing a wide variety of tasks related to physical plant construction, installation, alteration, maintenance and repair. Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum 0-1 years’ relevant experience in building systems maintenance
- Appropriate licenses
- Minimum 0-1 years’ related experience in building systems maintenance
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
- May be required to pass Occupational Health Screening
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in related field from 2-year college or technical school
- Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair and maintain building structures, grounds, and interior structures
- Perform work in any of the following areas: maintenance, carpentry, cement finishing, electrical work, gardening/grounds, glazing, heating and refrigeration, locksmithing, masonry, metal work, painting, pest control, pipefitting, plastering, plumbing, roofing, sheet metal work, welding and related mechanical and trade work
- Set up for facility functions
- Grounds clean-up as directed by supervisor
- Work cooperatively with and maintain relationships with laboratory technicians and other professionals within the site
- Attend meetings and participate on committees as required
- Work overtime as needed
- Complete assigned jobs as identified by supervisor or on work orders
