About The Position
At The Fold Hotels, we don’t just manage properties, we create experiences. From beachside escapes to mountain retreats across Florida, Colorado, and New Jersey, every unforgettable stay is powered by seamless operations behind the scenes. We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Manager to lead operations across our Steamboat Springs properties (Hilltop & Fold Suites). This is a player-coach role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads from the front, and takes pride in keeping every system running flawlessly, no matter the season.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or engineering roles (hospitality preferred)
- At least 1 year of team leadership experience
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
- CPO certification required (or ability to obtain quickly)
- A true player-coach mindset—you lead by doing
- Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A commitment to sustainability, safety, and inclusive leadership
- Flexible and dependable—ready for weekends, weather, and real-time problem solving
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in seasonal or mountain environments is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day facilities and maintenance operations across two resort properties
- Oversee and execute preventive maintenance programs to protect asset value and guest experience
- Manage all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool operations
- Act as a working leader—partnering directly with your team on repairs and projects
- Prepare for and manage seasonal demands (snow, peak occupancy, weather-related wear)
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely, high-quality work
- Support Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities as needed
- Manage budgets, inventory, and purchase orders with operational discipline
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team
- Ensure safety, compliance, and emergency readiness across all properties
