About The Position

Meadowbrook Church is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Director who is an active and dedicated Christian, committed to excellence and confidentiality. This role is crucial in overseeing the Facilities Maintenance Team to ensure a welcoming, safe, and well-kept campus for church families, students, vendors, and contractors. The Director will report directly to the Executive Pastor of Operations.

Requirements

  • Active and dedicated Christian, willing to be a member of Meadowbrook Church.
  • Ability to hold confidential matters.
  • Commitment to excellence in responsibilities.
  • HVAC systems knowledge.
  • Ability to work closely with the Facilities Coordinator and Facilities Project Director for budget management.
  • Excellent phone and communication abilities.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Church Community Builder.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Have a heart to serve both the team and the congregation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, and work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and vehicles.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to all church and staff policies.
  • Ongoing personal, professional, and spiritual development.
  • Participate in departmental and staff meetings, small groups, church-wide functions, attend a weekend service, and tithe.
  • Love Jesus and be passionate about maintaining the entire Meadowbrook campus with a high level of excellence.
  • Pass a Level II Background Screening.

  • Experience with other software used in support of staff operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance and repair tasks for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors for inspections and maintenance.
  • Ensure all safety and security systems (fire alarms, emergency exits) are functioning correctly.
  • Manage and lead the Maintenance Team daily.
  • Collaborate with staff for small groups, event organizations, and preparedness.
  • Stay informed and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and permits.
  • Maintain open communication with church leadership and staff regarding facility maintenance.
  • Respond to emergencies during off hours.
  • Adapt schedule to work some nights and longer days during busy seasons and for all-staff events.
