About The Position

Virginia Tire & Auto is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Associate to join their growing warehouse team. This role requires an individual with experience tracking and counting stock items. The work environment is fast-paced and can be indoors or outdoors, with a customer-oriented focus. The position involves stooping, bending, and moving throughout the shop, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Employees may be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Lifting tires from high shelves in the tire storage area and potentially road-testing vehicles may be required. Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Driver's License is required
• Must be able to lift up to 55lbs
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction and/or building maintenance
• Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communications

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 3 years experience in Automotive-industry experience and expertise a plus

Responsibilities

• Organize, prioritize, and track store maintenance requests (REST cases) daily ensuring that all cases are resolved efficiently
• Execute regular facilities maintenance A/C, LIFTS, fluid exchange, etc.
• Travel to stores to perform facilities and equipment repairs at all stores as required
• Transport furniture, equipment, parts, etc., as needed
• Complete daily REST case assignments
• Onsite assessment of repair tasks
• Oversee completion of any assigned shop maintenance project
• Prepare facilities for seasonal changes - Snow/Ice, sprinklers, etc.
• Manage timely inspections of operations equipment, safety inspections, and utilities for preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
• Assist with cleaning and stocking at store locations
• Special projects as required
