About The Position

The Facilities and Maintenance Associate will apply the principles and practices of painting, carpentry, light plumbing, electrical work, and building system maintenance, utilizing standard hand and power tools. This role is responsible for ensuring the facility's overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Requirements

  • Proficient in using standard hand and power tools.
  • Ability to identify and address minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and drips.
  • Ability to repair or replace fixtures, faucets, and pipes as needed.
  • Ability to conduct routine inspections to prevent plumbing problems.
  • Ability to perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility's cleanliness and functionality.
  • Ability to repair or replace damaged equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Ability to regularly troubleshoot and repair light switches, outlets, and electrical fixtures.
  • Ability to replace bulbs, ballasts, and wiring as necessary.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with safety protocols while working on electrical systems.
  • Ability to assist in maintaining a safe working environment by promptly addressing safety hazards.
  • Ability to report any safety concerns or incidents to the Facilities Manager.
  • Ability to work in an organized, time-efficient, safe manner.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment regularly used in maintenance and simple construction.
  • Ability to operate different types of tools and machinery.
  • Ability to utilize power and hand tools effectively.
  • Ability to follow instructions as given.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
