About The Position
SMS Staffing is seeking Facilities Maintenance Assistants to support environmental and building maintenance operations in a fast-paced industrial setting. This hands-on role involves working both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various environmental conditions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic math, writing, and reading skills
- Basic building maintenance skills are a must
- Must have a valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pump and remove rainwater and contaminated water from pits
- Operate forklifts and move totes safely
- Power wash pits, drains, equipment and collect water samples, as needed
- Perform building maintenance (repairs, cleaning, inspections)
- Assist with snow removal
- Push, pull and move pails, drums, totes, etc, using various means
- Assist in data entry of sample records, hazardous waste records, etc.
