About The Position

The Facilities Leader is responsible for delivering operational measures (Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost), people leadership, and oversight of facility conditions and equipment reliability. This includes ensuring the physical work environment, maintenance coordination, and asset readiness support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably within a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting conveyor systems in an operational setting
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including basic diagnostics and repairs
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience (e.g., sensors, motors, wiring, control panels) strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating or performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment downtime
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, safety, and external vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience (e.g., sensors, motors, wiring, control panels) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and audit-ready condition, including adherence to housekeeping (5S) standards across all operational areas
  • Serves as the first point of contact for facility-related issues (lighting, racking, HVAC, dock doors, conveyors, etc.) and ensures timely escalation and resolution
  • Partners with Facilities, Engineering, and external vendors to coordinate preventative maintenance and urgent repairs with minimal operational disruption
  • Monitors equipment uptime and supports rapid response to mechanical or facility-related downtime
  • Identifies and escalates infrastructure risks that could impact safety, quality, or service levels
  • Supports planning and execution of preventative maintenance schedules to ensure asset longevity and reliability
  • Ensures team adherence to proper use and care of equipment (RF scanners, conveyors, workstations, etc.)
  • Participates in site walkthroughs, safety audits, and facility inspections; tracks and drives closure of identified gaps
  • Maintains visibility of work orders and follows up to ensure completion within expected timelines
  • Supports business continuity by coordinating contingency plans when facility or equipment issues arise
