About The Position

This internship offers hands-on experience in facilities-related services, including field observations, roofing and waterproofing, fireproofing and firestopping, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), anchor testing, coring, scanning, material sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations. The intern will interact and communicate effectively with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related degree
• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures
• Position requires carrying 40 – 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed

Responsibilities

• Conducting field observations associated with existing facilities
• Performing facilities related services including roofing and waterproofing, fireproofing and firestopping, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), anchor testing, coring, scanning, material sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations
• Interacting and communicating effectively with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers
