The Facilities & Infrastructure Lead is responsible for two drect reports and the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant facilities, utilities, and infrastructure systems. This role owns all support equipment and systems outside of production lines, ensuring the plant has the foundational utilities and infrastructure required to operate at peak performance. This leader oversees utilities (boilers, compressed air, water, electrical distribution), buildings and grounds, waste and water systems, and all related capital projects. The role partners closely with Tech Services, Engineering, Capital, EH&S, and Operations teams to deliver projects, manage assets, and drive sustainability, cost, and reliability improvements. The Facilities & Infrastructure Lead provides end‑to-end ownership of the systems that enable manufacturing success—shaping infrastructure strategy, modernizing plant facilities, and leading meaningful capital projects that strengthen long‑term reliability and environmental performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing capital projects and contractors
  • 1-3 years of experience leading facilities, utilities, or infrastructure in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of plant utilities, building systems, and infrastructure assets preferred
  • Knowledge of environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements related to facilities and utilities preferred
  • Experience with sustainability, energy management, or water stewardship programs
  • Experience in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
  • Project management certification or formal capital project experience
  • Leadership experience managing technical or facilities teams

Responsibilities

  • Facilities, Utilities & Infrastructure Ownership:
  • Own all plant facilities, utilities, and infrastructure systems, including:
  • Boilers, steam systems, compressed air, HVAC, refrigeration
  • Electrical distribution and energy systems
  • Water, wastewater, and waste handling systems
  • Buildings, grounds, roofing, asphalt, and structural assets
  • Ensure all systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Capital Project Leadership:
  • Lead execution of all site‑level facilities and infrastructure capital projects
  • Coordinate project scope, timing, and execution with Unit Capital Leaders and Engineering
  • Oversee contractors, budgets, schedules, and quality of work from concept through completion
  • Ensure smooth commissioning and handoff to Operations and Maintenance
  • Sustainability, Waste & Resource Management:
  • Develop and implement waste management strategies to minimize waste generation
  • Identify and eliminate losses related to air, water, steam, electricity, and utilities usage
  • Drive energy efficiency, water stewardship, and sustainability initiatives
  • Track performance and ensure accurate reporting of utilities and waste metrics
  • Safety, Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure all facilities and infrastructure systems meet safety regulations, environmental requirements, and best practices
  • Lead risk assessments, inspections, and corrective actions for facilities and utility systems
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections related to facilities, utilities, and environmental compliance
  • Reliability & Asset Care:
  • Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to develop reliability strategies for support and utility equipment
  • Ensure preventive maintenance standards and asset care programs are in place and executed
  • Support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for infrastructure‑related downtime or failures
  • Vendor & Contractor Management:
  • Manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers supporting facilities and utilities
  • Ensure contractor safety, performance, and compliance with site standards
  • Develop and manage service contracts and long‑term infrastructure plans

Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,400 - $122,850.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
