About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Operations Supervisor, the Facilities Ice Crew is responsible for the ice and arena maintenance at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center. Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the state of Minnesota.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.
  • Must comply with organizational and departmental policies.
  • Must comply with data practices policies and standards relative to not public data.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the maintenance of the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center Ice Arena.
  • Responsible for ice and arena maintenance during Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU) practices, MSU games and Mankato Area Hockey Association events.
  • Assists with the conversion of the ice into a dry space for events.
  • Responsible for cleaning the glass weekly and prior to games.
  • Carefully inspects the playing surface.
  • Assists with locker room scheduling.
  • Safely lifts dasher board system.
  • Collects and compiles data.
  • Performs physical and mental demands and work environment requirements for this position.
  • Attendance during regularly scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary.
  • Effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and community customers.
  • Performs other related work as assigned or apparent.
