This role is for an HVAC Technician – Skilled Level at Cargill in Eddyville, IA. The position involves working in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment with a strong emphasis on safety protocols. The technician will be responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance on heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, often working without direct supervision. The role requires adherence to established standards, assisting in the formulation of preventive maintenance procedures, and maintaining personal tools. Accurate and timely administrative duties are also expected.

Requirements

5+ years' experience in industrial HVAC/refrigeration maintenance and repairs
EPA Certificate - Universal Technician
Must have working knowledge of hand / power tools, HVAC & refrigeration tools, rigging, and Preventive / Predictive Maintenance.
Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties

Responsibilities

Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment.
Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, repairs and preventive maintenance on heating/air conditioning and/or refrigeration systems.
This position requires the employee to work without supervision.
Responsibilities include equipment installation; repairs to heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment; troubleshooting malfunctions and preventive maintenance on such equipment; refrigeration and repairs; refrigeration troubleshooting and repairs; and other mechanical related work as assigned.
Repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed in conformance with established standards.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
Works from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks
Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor.
Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
Communications with all team members to assist the development of short and long range planning in assisting the company’s goals and objectives
Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool lists.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.
