About The Position

Maintain and optimize all HVAC-R and other equipment through preventive maintenance and repairs while ensuring compliance with all required local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Completion of HVAC-R Program
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
  • 3 to 5 years of commercial and industrial HVAC-R Systems experience
  • 3 to 5 years experience with Scissor and boom lift operations

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to applicable regulations ensuring compliance with site, local, state, federal, and environmental requirements and policies.
  • Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and servicing of all HVAC-R and other facility systems to ensure system efficiency. Including but not limited to filter changes, coil cleaning, functional testing, belt changes.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and failures in the HVAC-R systems and perform repairs on wiring, motors, compressors, coils, and other components.
  • Update service charts, refrigerant records, work orders through CMMS system, and daily logs.
  • Collect data points and review all documentation to identify trends, prevent failures, suggest equipment updates, and replacements.
  • Provide updated information to direct supervisor, engineer, team members, vendors, and internal clients via verbal and electronic communication tools and programs.
  • Coordinate work activities with site management planner to prevent downtime through CMMS system, working with team, other departments, and suppliers.
  • Develop a spare parts list based on trends, wear parts, and data to prevent downtime.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installs on very complex equipment and systems according to guidelines including but not limited to electrical 12v-480v, plumbing, air compressors, internal and exterior structure, and other needs as they arise.
  • Be on call in a team rotation, which will include any shift, weekends, and holidays.
  • Take part in 6 S program: Sort, Set in order, Standardize, Sustain, Safety.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Google with the ability to learn new software and internal systems while suggesting new equipment and maintenance technology for improved efficiency.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of all hand tools, pipe threading machine, and HVAC-R tools needed to complete tasks.
  • Communicate with suppliers for quotes, follow purchasing process, request items to be purchased based on budgets, and offer suggestions for future budgets.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
