About The Position

Ziegler CAT has a part time seasonal Shop/Yard Helper position in our service department. This role involves supporting shop technicians with maintenance and repair of equipment, maintaining the yard, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The position may involve working both indoors and outdoors, with potential for loud noise levels.

Requirements

• Able to work independently.
• Team-player and willing to help wherever needed.
• Maintains safe and organized work area.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferable.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Dependable, Flexible, positive attitude, hard-working.
• Push/pull up to 25 lbs.
• Lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Lift bulky objects.
• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.

Responsibilities

• Transfer tools, components, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas.
• Organize department tooling and supplies inventory.
• Assist shop technicians with maintenance & repair of equipment.
• Help maintain the yard.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Support contamination control expectations.
• Remove trash and recycling.
• Clean in shop & facility.
• Wash machines in the wash bay.
