About The Position

Axis is seeking a seasonal worker who is looking for an exciting summer opportunity! The Facilities Helper provides general building repairs and property maintenance including, but not limited to, cleaning, painting, exterior building and grounds maintenance. Provide preventative maintenance and safe operation to all Axis Health System facilities.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate for our Facilities Helper will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Must be comfortable using a variety of tools and equipment.
Ability to complete routine repairs with little or no supervision
Ability to operate equipment necessary to make minor repairs
Ability to operate a computer keyboard
Employees must occasionally lift and/or move 15 to 50 pounds.
Employees are frequently required to walk, sit, stand or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop.
Must have ability to sit for long periods of time at computer.
Employees must be able to travel between Axis locations.
Annual Flu immunization by November 1, annual TB Screening, complete de-escalation training, and BLS certification, as required for position.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness in common areas, public restrooms, and entryways by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and removing trash.
Keep the exterior tidy, which can include landscaping, weeding, mowing, sweeping parking lot.
Ensure the property and facilities are kept safe, clean and in good operating condition by performing general maintenance and minor repairs to buildings, grounds and equipment as required.
Provide preventative maintenance and safe operation to all Axis Health System facilities.
