About The Position

Kamatics is seeking a Facilities Group Leader to oversee all campus facilities and ensure continuous operation. This role is responsible for ensuring facility staff, contractors, and vendors perform essential duties while meeting internal, external, safety, and quality requirements. The Facilities Group Leader establishes expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance, leads by example, and fosters a work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration. This position works under the direction of the Facilities Manager with minimal supervision. Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills to coordinate and manage the various tasks in a timely manner.

  • Project Management Skills – Able to organize; follow up, schedule events, activities, and resources.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
  • 3-5 years of facilities, maintenance, building operations, or related leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Annual training or seminars to maintain up to date status
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive company vehicles.
  • Must be available to work extended shifts, holiday/weekends as required.
  • Domestic travel may be required.
  • Interplant travel may be required
  • Off shift hours may be required
  • Response to emergency situations may be required
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a “U.S. person” as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

  • Manages direct reports, including the Night Shift Leader.
  • Manages all janitorial activities, including daily cleaning requirements, preparing, and updating specifications as needed for preventive maintenance work.
  • Manages facility contractors including but not limited to lawn care, ground repairs, and facility upgrades
  • Oversees snow removal contractors and maintains a hands-on approach to managing snow clearing and salting activities. Monitors weather conditions, including overnight hours, and assists with snow removal as needed using shovels and company-owned equipment.
  • Monitors boiler, chillers and generators.
  • Coordinates the movement of shop equipment and tooling in partnership with Production Leadership.
  • Coordinates movements and relocations of personnel through the campus. Hires movers as necessary. Prepares the areas with necessary furniture and works with Corporate IT for network needs.
  • Works from both verbal and written instructions. Recognizes the priorities when planning and scheduling work assignments, utilizing resources and skills to be most productive. Monitors assignments to ensure work is completed with the quality and set budget. Assists with performance evaluations and budget development.
  • Perform various facility repairs, estimate the labor and material cost, obtain quotes and order repair parts and material. Keep spare parts inventory and re-order as necessary.
  • Performs regular checks on company owned warehouses and maintains orderly storage. Scraps or sells items as requested or required.
  • Participates and leads continuous improvement events that support company goals.
  • Maintains liaison with all personnel, departments, and company subsidiaries.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive company vehicles.
  • Must be available to work extended shifts, holiday/weekends as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as required.
