Facilities & Grounds Manager
About The Position
Winvian Farm, Connecticut's premier Five-Diamond luxury resort, is seeking an experienced Facilities & Grounds Manager to lead our Maintenance team and oversee the care and operation of our unique 113-acre property. This is a full-time leadership position requiring flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed and participate in an on-call rotation. The Facilities & Grounds Manager is responsible for ensuring the resort's buildings, guest cottages, staff housing and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This position provides hands-on leadership while planning and directing preventative maintenance programs, managing departmental priorities, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and exceptional environment for our guests and staff.
Requirements
- Several years of facilities or property maintenance management experience, preferably in hospitality or a similarly complex environment.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, and grounds maintenance.
- Experience leading and developing maintenance staff.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of septic and well systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop the Maintenance team while promoting a positive, accountable work environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, guest cottages, mechanical systems, utilities, staff houses and grounds.
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Track annual compliance inspections and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Plan and manage department budgets, capital improvement projects, and vendor relationships.
- Anticipate future maintenance needs and recommend long-term improvements.
- Assist with emergency repairs and respond to facility issues as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations.
