About The Position

As a Facilities Gas Engineer at Micron Technology, you will design, plan, and maintain high‑performance gas distribution systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role involves managing bulk and specialty gas systems, purification and analyzer systems, and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams through all phases of design, construction, installation, and maintenance to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable facilities infrastructure. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to create clear, accurate design documents and apply innovative engineering methods for facilities systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, data‑driven decision making, effective communication, and ability to manage design documentation efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing facilities or similar high‑purity gas systems (SCADA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, risk analysis, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Proven ability to lead design reviews, coordinate construction activities, and manage cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan gas systems and related infrastructure for safe operation and maintenance.
  • Develop and review equipment specifications, ensure material compatibility, and recommend critical spare parts.
  • Maintain and update capacity planning databases, track system loads, and prepare status reports for current and forecasted scenarios.
  • Support scenario planning for manufacturing and evaluate system capacity impacts.
  • Provide detailed designs and specifications for new installations and infrastructure modifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants and internal teams for project scope, design reviews, and construction oversight.
  • Perform system inspections, support equipment startup and commissioning, and ensure accurate as‑built documentation.
  • Analyze systems for performance improvements, risk mitigation, and cost savings using standard engineering tools and methodologies.
