About The Position

The Facilities Field Staff is responsible for assisting and performing repairs and improvements to the agency-owned real estate. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance duties for all agency sites, conducting walk-throughs and repairs, attending inspections, maintaining a company-assigned vehicle, following work order procedures, purchasing necessary supplies, and maintaining tools and equipment. The position also requires active participation in supervision and team meetings, and ensuring clients are treated with dignity and respect.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance and general repairs
  • Must possess ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to perform with minimal supervision
  • Must possess ability to use office equipment such as scanner, digital camera, copier, printer, fax and phone systems.
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Must possess ability to read a map and be willing to travel.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must possess ability to work independently or as part of team.
  • Must possess ability to read and speak English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must hold a valid drivers’ license.
  • Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance duties for all the agency sites as assigned.
  • Perform walk-thru and repairs, as well as attend various inspections as needed for the agency’s sites.
  • Maintain company assigned vehicle and ensure routine maintenance is scheduled as needed.
  • Follow all work order procedures including accessing work orders through database and updating work orders upon completion.
  • Responsible for purchasing necessary supplies and materials for repairs as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining proper upkeep of company tools and equipment.
  • Attends and actively participates in supervision and team meetings.
  • Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights policy.
