Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate ABET-accredited engineering program
- Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027
Nice To Haves
- Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
- Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
- Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
- Majoring in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Civil Engineering, or other related fields
- The ability to relocate and work onsite
Responsibilities
- Facilities, Equipment & Reliability Engineering interns support the systems and assets that keep a large aerospace manufacturing site operating safely and reliably.
- Interns may work with building systems, manufacturing equipment, utilities, preventive/predictive maintenance, reliability data, equipment modifications, and capital or maintenance projects.
- Work may include identifying failure trends, developing reliability improvements, and supporting engineering solutions for new or existing equipment.
- Analyze equipment performance, failures, downtime, and reliability trends
- Develop preventive/predictive maintenance and reliability improvements
- Support equipment specifications, modifications, installation, and validation
- Assist with building systems, utilities, infrastructure, and facilities engineering projects
