Requirements

  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday 4PM-11PM
  • Previous experience in building maintenance, cleaning, or general facilities of work.
  • Ability to follow detailed, straightforward oral or written instructions using sound judgment and common sense.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact courteously with officials, staff, patients, and the public.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Physically capable of regularly lifting/moving up to 25 lbs., frequently lifting/moving up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to safely transport patients of varying weights using assistive devices such as wheelchairs or mobile beds.
  • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Flexibility to travel to all office locations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious materials, in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Receive daily work assignments from the Director or Lead and follow procedures according to the operational schedule.
  • Clean and maintain interior spaces, including waiting areas, patient lobbies, bathrooms, exam rooms, operating rooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, stairways, and windows.
  • Maintain exterior areas, including light landscaping, snow removal, and salting walkways to ensure safe and accessible entrances.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, such as mopping floors, wiping desks, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and emptying trash and linen bins.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures; clean vertical and horizontal surfaces, including tops of windows, door frames, and TVs, using ladders when necessary.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, sinks, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Polish metal, glass, and enamel surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Use brooms, mops, vacuums, and floor equipment to sweep, strip, wax, and clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
  • Replenish restroom and exam room supplies, including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, sharp containers, and linens.
  • Maintain cleanliness of stretchers, beds, and equipment storage rooms; restock and organize supplies.
  • Complete and maintain cleaning checklists and assist with documentation for inspections (e.g., QUAD A, DOH).
  • Perform beginning- and end-of-shift building walkthroughs to assess readiness and cleanliness.
  • Follow all applicable safety protocols, including proper PPE use and SDS compliance.
  • Conduct daily temperature and humidity checks and maintain compliance logs.
  • Monitor room temperatures in communal areas and report variances.
  • Perform basic equipment and utility checks; report major repair needs or malfunctions.
  • Maintain awareness of building mechanical systems and assist with basic troubleshooting as needed.
  • Follow proper procedures for the use and storage of cleaning products, medical waste, and biohazard materials.
  • Proper packaging and disposing of biohazard waste according to safety standards.
  • Report any facility hazards, safety concerns, or repair needs promptly to the Director or Lead.
  • Assist with preparation for inspections by QUAD A, DOH, or other regulatory agencies, ensuring assigned areas are inspection ready.
  • Pick up and deliver supplies and materials to rooms, departments, or other locations as directed.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving duties, including moving equipment, and restocking supplies.
  • Set up and tear down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings, events, or facility functions as assigned.
