About The Position

Keep a GMP facility's HVAC and utilities reliable at a biotechnology manufacturing site in Juncos, Puerto Rico. The role troubleshoots, optimizes and modifies facility systems and supports capital projects. It involves supporting safe, reliable and GMP-compliant operations, coordinating with internal teams and contractors, and delivering modifications and projects within schedule and budget. The position is a six-month contract with a possible extension. The schedule is non-standard and includes weekend support and 12-hour shifts during implementation. Start date: November 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, and at least 2 years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree.
• HVAC/BMS and utilities experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
• Working knowledge of GMP.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical writing skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Available for weekend support and 12-hour shifts during implementation.

• Validation protocol writing and execution experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize HVAC, utilities and facility systems for safe, reliable and GMP-compliant operation.
• Support preventive maintenance strategies and recommend system modifications.
• Execute facility modifications and capital projects within schedule and budget.
• Prepare cost estimates, schedules and technical reports.
• Coordinate with Facilities, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, EHS and contractors.
