About The Position

This role is responsible for defining and coordinating preventive maintenance for the site, facility, and facility support systems. It also involves performing risk analysis, modifying standard work instructions, and ensuring the correct application of LOTO procedures. The position supports site and regional initiatives relating to Health, Safety, and Environment, and conducts site and facility audits. Additionally, the role involves defining, quoting, submitting requisitions, and coordinating with suppliers for site and facilities work, as well as maintaining Level 5 PM’s and their suppliers for the Mechanical Room/Facilities. The Facilities Engineer is also responsible for defining spare parts needs, ensuring critical spare parts are in SAP and available, and coordinating the removal of spare parts during equipment decommissioning. Site layout ownership and versioning, in coordination with change requests, POMS, and IE, is also a key responsibility. The role acts as an alternate to the Industrial Manager for capacity planning.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician / Engineer, Site Management or similar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge: Building + equipment electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, PLC logic, with the ability to recognize and manage hazardous energy sources machine by machine
  • Experience with Building Management Systems, HVAC, Chillers, water cooling towers, and supporting equipment
  • Working knowledge of blow mold machines and processes
  • Technical knowledge and skills consistent with basic maintenance and fabrication
  • Record all work performed and contracted PMs in SAP Fiori.

Responsibilities

  • Perform risk analysis before LOTO and work performed inside machines
  • Responsible to modify or create standard work instructions as necessary for relevant activities
  • Responsible for checking the correct application of LOTO, in line with procedures
  • Seek guidance from the LOTO steering Committee for any concerns regarding LOTO
  • Follow 6 non-negotiables
  • Stop five analysis for every task
  • Support the training of team members as required
  • Reduce the risk in the work areas
  • Define and coordinate preventive maintenance for the site, facility and facility support systems
  • Review the preventive maintenance plan and improve if is needed
  • Support site and regional initiatives relating to Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Define and perform site + facility audits
  • Define, quote, submit requisitions, and coordinate with suppliers as relevant for site and facilities work
  • Maintain Level 5 PM’s & their Suppliers for Mechanical Room/Facilities
  • Define spare parts needs and follow up with the MRO stores and the buyer
  • Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain licenses for forklift, aerial lift, crane and LOTO
  • Define, quote, submit requisitions, and coordinate equipment moves, unloading, and installation
  • Verify along with PPL, IE, and MRO that critical spare parts needed are in SAP and available
  • When decommissioning equipment coordinate the removal of relevant spare parts with MRO.
  • Site Layout ownership and versioning in coordination with change requests, POMS, and IE
  • Act as an alternate to the Industrial Manager for capacity planning including submission to the PPL / core team and input to customer systems i.e. eCAR
