About The Position

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for evaluating, coordinating, and stewarding discipline‑specific engineering work performed internally and by contractors and subcontractors. This role ensures all engineering activities comply with Company specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The position supports efficient execution of engineering and design routines, promotes strong communication across teams, and contributes to safe, compliant, and capital‑efficient project delivery. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise paired with effective communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Broad knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and applicable safety criteria.
  • Strong ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English with strong technical and business communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating field activities and contractor schedules.
  • Ability to track and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to review engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering and operations teams.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test (UA), agility and fit for duty

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products across internal teams and external contractors.
  • Evaluate and comment on engineering work performed by contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with Company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review discipline design drawings, calculations, and technical documents for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Identify, assess, and document deviations from contract technical specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure deviations are processed per Company procedures and maintain the Deviation Control Log.
  • Steward and respond to discipline engineering queries and technical information requests from contractors and subcontractors.
  • Communicate engineering issues that impact design, safety, quality, or regulatory compliance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Keep the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of progress, deviations, risks, and execution concerns.
  • Participate in engineering reviews at contractor and subcontractor facilities.
  • Coordinate field activities and schedules for multiple engineering contractors.
  • Track and manage discipline‑related project budgets and support cost-efficient design decisions.
  • Interface with site engineering and operations teams, adjusting priorities and scope as needed.
  • Support internal engineering initiatives, global practice improvements, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Promote and drive capital efficiency in engineering design.
