About The Position

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity: The Facilities Engineer will support the Engineering and Maintenance teams with day-to-day, project related activities. This will include supporting new equipment installations, working with our vendors on scopes, and coordinating with Users groups. The Facilities Engineer will also work with other members of the Facilities team or with users to ensure that new equipment is added to our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with additional utility details. As a member of the engineering team, the Facilities Engineer’s skills will be tested to devise creative solutions to various challenges that arise on campus. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for maintaining well-organized drawings files for our buildings making updates to them as changes take place. They will also be responsible for working our vendors and landlord to locate missing drawings. The Facilities Engineer will need to be able to understand and modify drawings in AutoCAD to update them, make corrections, and develop test fits for smaller scopes. They will assist the Sr. Manager of Facilities Engineering on larger scopes. The position requires an individual with strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills; problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills, independent judgement skills, strong inter-personal skills. The Facilities Engineer must possess the ability and skills to effectively provide direction to our internal and external resources and work in a diverse team environment and communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical individuals.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, facilities engineering, or a similar field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in facilities engineering, preferably in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and a good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu (Adobe Acrobat is acceptable).
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, facilities engineering, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow EAM/FSM.
  • Direct experience manipulating and making plan view and elevation drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Direct experience making document markups in Bluebeam Revu.
  • A strong understanding of general laboratory equipment.
  • Microsoft Suite, including Excel comprehension.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure laboratory equipment installation requirements such as: MEP, HVAC, lighting, and controls are present before installation and coordinate with vendors and Users.
  • Work with project teams to ensure newly installed assets are captured in our CMMS, ServiceNow Enterprise Asset Management.
  • Organize building drawings on our server and work with our vendors and landlord to locate missing ones.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to develop drawings for small projects and changes, updating existing drawings to as-built as changes are made, and providing reference sketches as needed.
