The Facilities Engineering Department is responsible for maintaining the site infrastructure in a reliable state to support cGMP operations. This includes overseeing architectural features, structural/civil aspects, biotech process and laboratory equipment, HVAC, plant and clean utility systems, electrical power and lighting, and automation. A Facilities Engineer III provides technical support for ongoing operations, acts as a system owner, ensures compliance, and upholds engineering and quality standards. The role involves managing change controls, CAPAs, deviations, and other quality system records. In project execution, this position supports the design, implementation, commissioning, and validation of new or modified systems, potentially serving as a project manager or project engineer for multiple concurrent projects. Project management duties include scope definition, stakeholder agreement, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, procurement, and installation support. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for project success. The Facilities Engineer III is also expected to coordinate the activities of outside contractors and trades.
