You'll work with PLCs, industrial controls, microprocessor systems, and complex circuits to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade plant equipment and facility systems. Requirements

  • 5 years of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems or equipment, or comparable trade school/training experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of motors, transformers, lighting systems, electrical distribution equipment, and control circuits.
  • Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Other electrician levels may be considered for candidates with additional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, transformers, lighting, panels, controls, and other building infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to electrical service calls.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment and a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify root causes of equipment or building-related issues.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
  • Support safe and reliable facility operations while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.
