This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance area/shift leader. The position is responsible for the upkeep of electrical distribution systems, motors, controls, and related equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance. The employee will also be involved in purchasing parts, managing contractor work, maintaining records, and responding to repair calls. Training and assisting other maintenance staff may also be part of the responsibilities. The role requires working in a safe, quality-minded, and productive manner to meet maintenance deadlines and production priorities. Continuous professional development through training is expected to stay current with maintenance and safety requirements. The position involves using computers for correspondence and reports, and may require shift adjustments. Effective communication with management and plant personnel regarding maintenance concerns is essential. The role also requires adherence to Magna's operating principles, including the Magna Employee Charter, Open Door Policy, 5S, Safety First, quality and environmental policies, and core values. Supporting department and plant goals is also a key aspect of the role.
