About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas for an approximately five-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will plan, design, and oversee facility and equipment modifications within an industrial manufacturing environment. The engineer will develop facility design requirements, coordinate engineering packages, support construction activities, and ensure installations comply with drawings, specifications, schedules, and applicable requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 6–8 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience designing or supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of CAD systems.
  • Experience developing and delivering comprehensive engineering design packages.
  • Experience evaluating facility or equipment requirements, constraints, and construction feasibility.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering firms, contractors, manufacturing personnel, and other technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards applicable to industrial or manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and design reconfigurations, maintenance activities, and alterations involving equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and facility systems.
  • Review facility and equipment specifications, operational requirements, government restrictions, schedules, and construction feasibility.
  • Develop design criteria and coordinate with architectural and engineering firms.
  • Prepare and review facility layouts, detail drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Develop comprehensive engineering packages supporting construction and facility modifications.
  • Prepare bid documentation and support construction and facilities acquisition activities.
  • Estimate project costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and related expenses.
  • Review construction and installation progress for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Coordinate facility engineering requirements with manufacturing and other internal organizations.
  • Support resolution of technical issues associated with facility modifications and installations.
