Chemours is seeking a Facilities Electrical Consultant to join our team. This position will be available at our Newark, DE location, supporting Laboratory and Pilot Operations across all business units. This role works collaboratively with Leadership, Technology, EHS, and Quality professionals to ensure that all facility electrical infrastructure is properly maintained and operated. Additionally, this role supports on-site Electrical, E&I, and Mechanical/Fabrication work streams that enable Research and Pilot Operations, Facility Operations, and Capital Projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technologically proficient, and experienced in developing and delivering the highest level of support service in a dynamic, research-driven, and business-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing Master Electrician level support to diverse teams and industrial operations
  • Demonstrated track record managing Electrical teams
  • Demonstrated track record managing and coordinating AHJ relationships, electrical permitting at all regulatory levels, and facilitating mandated electrical inspections
  • Demonstrated understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and NEC codes and regulations
  • Demonstrated understanding of UL/NRTL requirements in a hybrid R&D and Pilot operational environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, and PDF software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electrical design
  • Experience in arc flash risk management
  • Experience developing sitewide electrical procedures and policies
  • Experience with work scheduling and management systems (eg, SAP, Maximo)
  • Experience managing capital projects and forecasting capital expenditures
  • Experience managing electrical contractor relationships at R&D and Pilot sites
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience working in an industrial setting with an R&D/Pilot focus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Safe Operation of Newark Area electrical infrastructure
  • Maintain and Improve critical Newark Area facility electrical systems
  • Develop and execute electrical reliability plans for the Newark Area sites
  • Act as the site Master Electrician and represent the site in interactions with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) over electrical work being executed at the sites
  • Coordinate preventive and on-demand electrical work
  • Coordinate work and resources with site-resident Facility Management contractors
  • Coordinate work and resources with site residents and operating areas
  • Plan and Schedule annual electrical maintenance activities
  • Develop progression plans for electrical team members including paths to electrical licensing
  • Drive Continuous Improvement for all aspects of the role
