About The Position

ContactUs Communications is seeking a Facilities Custodian to help keep its Grindstone, Pennsylvania building and grounds clean, safe, and in good working order. The role includes facility and parking-lot walkthroughs, cleaning and sanitizing interior spaces, using professional floor-care equipment, completing minor maintenance tasks, and maintaining outdoor areas. The custodian will also assist with special projects, follow equipment manuals and safety instructions, and communicate observations and improvement ideas to leadership. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort reading and following equipment manuals and safety instructions.
• Good organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to take initiative and address issues before they become problems.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous walkthroughs of the facility and parking lots.
• Sweep, dust, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using professional equipment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash and maintain clean workspaces, common areas, and entryways.
• Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, interior and exterior windows, countertops, and light fixtures.
• Change light bulbs and assist with minor building, furniture, or equipment repairs.
• Use ladders as needed to clean ceilings, walls, blinds, and fixtures.
• Move furniture, boxes, cabinets, and equipment to support thorough cleaning.
• Maintain outdoor areas by sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow or ice as needed.
• Support special projects and daily tasks assigned by leadership.
• Share observations, concerns, and improvement ideas with leadership.
