ZIEHL-ABEGG is looking for a high energy and results-oriented Facilities Custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. Experienced in a custodian role focused on the sanitation and upkeep of our facility. Having a great physical endurance to cover a large space, a keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

• Ability to keep building and grounds clean and neat, in a safe manner that meets company standards
• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals to maintain equipment and other supplies
• Janitorial background experience

Responsibilities

• Empty trash cans/replace liners
• Dust furniture and horizontal surfaces
• Dust mop concrete/laminate floors & vacuum carpets
• Entrance glass doors cleaned to remove fingerprints and smudges
• Wipe desk areas with disinfectant solution
• Tile floors dust mopped and wet mopped with disinfectant cleaner
• Clean and disinfect wash basins, commodes, top and bottom seats and urinals
• Clean and polish dispensers, mirrors and fixtures
• Clean walls and partitions
• Restock paper towels, hand soap and toilet paper as needed
• Disinfectant Fogging
• Trash removal
• Countertops, chairs and tables wiped down
• Sinks cleaned and polished
• Microwaves cleaned inside and out
• Tile floors dust mopped and wet mopped with disinfectant cleaner
• Disinfectant Fogging
• Clean telephones
• Dust vertical furniture surfaces
• Wall and door surfaces cleaned, removing fingerprints or smudges around switches and knobs
• Disinfectant Fogging of office/conference room/lobby areas
• Dust vents, doorsills, lighting fixtures, ceiling corners and baseboards
• Trash containers cleaned and sanitized
• Detailed carpet vacuuming, along corners, edges and under/behind all furniture
• Other duties as assigned
