About The Position

The Facilities Coordinator - Events provides critical operational, administrative, and hands-on support across the Google Colorado campuses. In this dynamic, highly collaborative role, you will focus heavily on event coordination, space management, and building exceptional relationships with clients and cross-functional support teams. You are a subject matter expert in building positive client and vendor partnerships, making confident operational decisions, and maintaining day-to-day campus operations at the highest level. Requirements

  • Proficiency in a range of information technology tools, platforms, and calendar systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make critical decisions, and manage stressful situations calmly.
  • Physical capability to perform active, physical setups (lifting, pushing, and moving tables, chairs, and event decor) for approximately 50% of the workday, including the ability to work on ladders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of partnering successfully with clients, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility to adjust standard working hours to support specific event schedules and business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior professional experience in hospitality, event management, or customer-facing operations
  • Previous experience in facilities management, property operations, or corporate real estate
  • Familiarity with event coordination, space scheduling, and calendar management platforms
  • Knowledge of local occupational health and safety regulations, critical facility standards, and vendor procurement/management
  • Basic understanding of technical building systems, such as HVAC, fire protection, and mechanical or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support on-site events, meetings, and conference setups, including performing physical setups (moving tables, chairs, and decor) for approximately 50% of the role, and safely utilizing ladders when necessary.
  • Partner closely with clients and internal support teams to make collaborative decisions, ensuring seamless service delivery and event execution.
  • Conduct daily facility walkthroughs, site inspections, and safety assessments to maintain clean, organized, secure, and highly functional workspace environments.
  • Respond swiftly to work orders, tracking minor repairs and maintenance requests to completion in compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide clear direction and oversight to third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring seamless coordination of onsite activities with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain accurate campus records, documentation, and web pages, while proactively managing emergency response plans and environmental health and safety standards.
