About The Position

Provide control system engineering support for facility systems serving a Central Plant and Semiconductor Fab. Position may require availability to provide regional support to two Austin, Texas locations. Primary responsibilities: Analyze and design of control systems associated with HVAC, chilled water systems, compressors, waste treatment, exhaust abatement, pumps, and Toxic Gas Monitoring. Verification, implementation, and repair of programming code associated with control systems Plan and preparation of designs, specifications, and estimates for projects. Support Manufacturing, EHS, and Central Plant Operations. Support control system start-up, system optimization, and shut down functions. Development of Instrument and Controls Diagrams Perform PLC programming Develop Facility Monitoring Control System operator interface screens Support system start-up and system optimization. Provide imaginative/innovative solutions to control problems and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Controls, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution with 5 years (minimum) of direct experience.
  • Experience with Foxboro I/A system or DeltaV.
  • Ability to function effectively with peers inside and outside the organization.
  • Root cause problem solving skills.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with knowledge or capacity to learn Visual Basic.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings/documents and performing technical analysis or drafting using computer-aided design software.
