About The Position

The Facilities / Construction Manager will oversee all phases of a construction projects from conception to completion, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with staff and subcontractors. This role is responsible for planning and overseeing building maintenance, operations associated with the client's site. Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma.
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in a progressively responsible position in facility management
  • Must be “hands-on” and assist in completing maintenance work
  • Must possess basic knowledge of and experience with office and administrative functions, practices and procedures.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
  • Due to the nature of work at the client’s site, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Customer service orientation, excellent organization and interpersonal skills required
  • Must possess problem-solving skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc. skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree desirable but not required.
  • Project Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts Statements of Work (SOW) for building and construction projects, for approval by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Government Technical Monitor (GTM).
  • Oversees project milestones and maintains records and required reporting of any deficiencies.
  • Inspects buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair/maintenance and manage maintenance request program.
  • Performs a wide variety of functions to assist with day-to-day operation of the training facility that may include facility service calls to reset breakers, coordination equipment and furniture moves, preparation of training spaces set-up.
  • Perform duties or schedules services related to electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, heating/cooling, ventilation.
  • Assists with construction project management.
  • Serves as the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) program administrator and point of contact for medical kit installation and upkeep.
  • Serves as phone administrator.
  • Maintains the master key system.
  • Escorts workers to work sites and monitors their presence in sensitive areas.
  • Attends meetings and participates with client personnel in the planning, development and maintenance of training venues and projects.
  • Maintains records and prepares reports.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
