JMT is recognized as a Top 500 Design Firm by Engineering News-Record. We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee large-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves providing construction project oversight, ensuring adherence to contract documents, acting as a technical advisor, and mentoring junior team members. The Construction Manager will be responsible for delivering projects within scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret, organize, coordinate, and execute assignments.
  • Ability to ensure work is performed and completed in strict accordance with contract documents.
  • Ability to act as a technical advisor.
  • Ability to teach and mentor less experienced engineers and team members.
  • Experience delivering projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Experience developing Project Management Plans (PMP).
  • Experience providing construction management oversight.
  • Experience creating and maintaining project schedules.
  • Experience preparing and updating cost estimates.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining project budgets.
  • Experience developing and implementing project-specific QA programs.
  • Experience managing sub-consultants and technical resources.
  • Experience coordinating and interfacing with clients and project teams.
  • Experience managing and coordinating inspection staff.
  • Experience managing project schedules from inception to close out.
  • Experience running project job-site meetings.
  • Experience reviewing contractor work for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Experience reviewing and approving contractor monthly requisitions and invoices.
  • Experience with change order management and cost control.
  • Experience reporting on project issues and providing status updates.
  • Experience developing and preparing extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction project oversight using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices.

  • Prepare and update cost estimates.
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets.
  • Develop and implement project-specific QA programs.

  • Coordinate and interface with the client and project team.
  • Manage and coordinate inspection staff.
