About The Position
Responsible for assisting Construction Managers on large construction project and managing small projects for SIH. This role participates in design meetings with architects, engineers, construction managers, and SIH staff, and acts as an owner's representative in the design and construction process. The engineer will assist with various project management tasks including obtaining close-out documents, pay application review, permitting, posting documents on construction sites, and documenting/storing project Furniture, Fixture and Equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Technology.
- Experience with reading construction drawings and technical specifications
- Experience with quantity take offs
- Experience with order and tracking and coordinating delivery of materials, equipment and labor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Email and Calendar) Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills

- Worked in construction field with healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist Construction Managers and Corporate Director of Facilities with day to day management of construction projects.

- Assist with documenting locating and storing of project Furniture, Fixture and Equipment.
- Participates as an owner’s representative in the design and construction process as assigned.
- Assist with review of design and construction documents for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Assist with maintaining all aspects of project management.
- Assist with budgeting
- Assist with review of shop drawings when required.
- Assist with quantity take offs
- Assist with keeping budgets updated
- Assist with Hospital Contractor training program
- Assist with issuance and follow up of ICRA and ILSM documentation
- Assist with data entry
