About The Position

Great Performances is seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities Cleaning Associate to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe, and well-maintained environments while supporting the overall operation of the facility. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, has a strong attention to detail, and is comfortable assisting with deep cleaning, sanitation, painting, waste removal, and general facility upkeep. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support the Facilities and Maintenance team are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of porter, facilities cleaning, janitorial, commercial kitchen cleaning, and/or building maintenance experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation, safety standards, and Department of Health (DOH) guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain clean, organized, and clutter-free kitchen, storage, and common areas.
  • Strong work ethic; well-organized, dependable, reliable, and focused.
  • Dependable and punctual with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions
  • Demonstrates professionalism and respect toward colleagues, managers, vendors, and guests.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time, including up to 8-hour shifts.
  • Must be able to provide valid documentation that you are legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Deep clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, including prep tables, countertops, and cooking equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies.
  • Ensure all kitchen and work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition.
  • Deep clean floors and common area spaces, including scrubbing, mopping, and maintaining all areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Support facility upkeep by ensuring storage areas, hallways, and common spaces are clean, organized, and hazard-free.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility to support daily operations.
  • Empty and dispose of trash, recyclables, and waste in designated areas following established procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of waste disposal and recycling areas to ensure sanitary conditions and compliance with safety standards.
  • Keep all kitchen and common areas free of debris and clutter.
  • Paint designated areas as directed by the Facilities Manager to support a clean, professional, and well-maintained facility appearance.
  • Assist with maintaining the overall appearance and presentation of the facility.
  • Assist the Handyman and Facilities Manager with maintenance tasks and general facility upkeep as needed.
  • Perform light maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, minor equipment adjustments, and unclogging drains.
  • Identify and promptly report larger maintenance, repair, or safety concerns to management.
  • Work collaboratively with the Facilities, Commissary Kitchen, and Warehouse teams to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required based on the needs of the operation.
