Requirements

Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds as necessary
Helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile
Relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve balls
A keen attention to detail and lover of organized, clean spaces
A self-starter who works well under low supervision, always looking for things to do and keeping a list of ideas for a slow day
A handy individual who is not afraid to get their hands dirty
Confidence to safely use common lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mower, trimmer and leaf blower
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all weather (snow, rain, wind, hail)
Must meet the organization's grooming and appearance standards

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a positive attitude and safety-first approach
Perform cleaning duties for all guest and team member areas including staff accommodation
Cleaning duties will include all common area floors, public and staff washrooms, outdoor areas, windows, and other daily cleaning assignments
Ensure cleaning checklists are completed and maintained daily
Maintain garbage collection areas and help facilitate an effective recycling program through proper sorting and storage
Ensure all cleaning supplies stock is adequate and well-organized
Adhere to all WHMIS and other departmental safety requirements and notify facilities supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns
Ensure grounds are maintained and clean throughout the operating day, including shoreline areas and walking paths within our leasehold
Daily rounds of the outdoor garbage bins and grounds to pick up trash and proper disposal of refuse
Some general landscaping maintenance including grass cutting, trimming, leaf blowing and raking
During peak cafeteria hours bussing of tables may be required
Other duties as assigned
