Passion for our mission and vision is required! Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer II to join our engineering team in Florida. The successful candidate will support the design, development, and implementation of civil engineering projects critical to our aerospace infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Proficient in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Proficient in industry standard design software’s.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Florida, or ability to become licensed.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of site civil infrastructure and facilities.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data necessary for civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, maps, and reports using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFI’s (Request for Information).
  • Participate in project meetings and provide status updates.
  • Manage all site related design and permitting efforts, including but not limited to: Stormwater Management Systems Domestic and Industrial Wastewater Domestic and Fire Water Wetland Mitigation Site Logistics
