Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
  • Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
  • Knowledge of regulatory/safety compliance standards applicable to handling of hazardous process gases, effluent treatment, and emissions control in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical skills in one or more of the following area: Vacuum system performance analysis and process control monitoring
  • Abatement system integration and optimization
  • Project management of equipment installation, qualification, or upgrades
  • Statistical process control (SPC) applied to equipment health monitoring and predictive maintenance programs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with chemical compatibility assessment for corrosive or pyrophoric process chemistries, and familiarity with SEMI standards is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in vacuum system design, operation, and maintenance, including dry pump, turbomolecular, or roots blower technologies used in semiconductor fabrication environments.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs or like abatement systems (thermal, wet, or plasma-based), vacuum pumping systems, and associated support equipment such as heat exchangers or heat trace systems.
  • Knowledge of point-of-use abatement systems, vacuum pumps, and related semiconductor manufacturing systems.
  • Experience in startup, commissioning, and ownership of facilities systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering leadership for chemical and gas systems to support safety, reliability, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Oversee the preventative and corrective maintenance of vacuum pumps, abatement and other support systems to meet business needs.
  • Have input into planning, design, and construction of the Subfab support equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to Subfab systems (i.e. vacuum pumps and abatement systems).
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve system performance issues.
  • Collaborate with internal customers, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams to design and optimize systems for semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
  • Create scopes of work, bid proposals, and review documentation to ensure alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Oversee and be responsible for acceptance post commissioning equipment and components to meet operational specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and reduce total cost of ownership.
