About The Position

The Carpenter performs predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, including repairing broken or damaged furniture and building custom cabinetry, tables, office spaces, and other furniture as requested. Work must comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, along with department and company policies and procedures, to support overall facility integrity. The role includes routine and complex maintenance and repair work across furniture, cabinetry, rooms, public areas, and offices; fabricating and installing structures and fixtures; and completing assigned jobs while maintaining records.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on furniture, cabinetry, rooms, public areas, and offices.
• Complete jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management and maintain logbooks.
• Operate power and hand tools to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install permanent structures, office partitions, doors, cornices, counters, and other items.
• Safely set up and operate woodworking machines in conjunction with work assignments.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finished specifications, lay out jobs, and calculate angular and linear dimensions.
• Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment.
• Keep informed about current techniques and technical methods and advise the Shift Supervisor of unusual conditions within the property.
• Maintain awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention, and use personal protective equipment.
