About The Position

BrightBee recruits candidates to support local schools and nonprofits. You will use our BrightBee app to claim assignments at schools/non-profits in your area. Our goal is simple: help schools succeed and give workers the tools they need to grow in their careers. A hive is a geographical region of multiple school districts and sites that you (as a Bee) will be able to claim assignments at. These assignments could be as short as a single day or as long as multiple week/months. You should be willing/able to commute to various school sites in West Cleveland area to be considered. We’re recruiting cleaners and custodians for North Ridgeville Schools to support school operations with flexible summer schedules and opportunities for consistent, longer-term work. We're recruiting kitchen/cafeteria support staff for Lakewood City Schools to support cafeteria operations for hungry kiddos! This is great side-gig or full-time opportunity work and may turn into long-term or permanent opportunities based on performance! Shifts will be available in 4-hour and 8-hour options. North Ridgeville is also expected to need paraprofessionals in the fall, with potential earlier opportunities if needs arise. If you have a background in behavioral work, we'd love to hear about that in your interview! BrightBee centers child safety at the core of its work. Applicants must undergo a background check, adhere to a code of conduct, and comply with all mandated reporter training and reporting requirements. Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances and provide us with authorization to contact former employers. Requirements

• Comfortable claiming assignments/being available for multiple schools.
• Reliable transportation to get to schools in your area.
• Dependable, consistent, and show up ready to work.
• Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet.
• Take pride in creating clean, safe spaces for students.
• Undergo a background check.
• Adhere to a code of conduct.
• Comply with all mandated reporter training and reporting requirements.
• Pass a background check, livescan, and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances.
• Provide authorization to contact former employers.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have a smartphone with a compatible operating system (Apple or Android).
• As an independent contractor, you are required to enable location services while using the BrightBee app.
