About The Position

To empower students to embrace a Biblical worldview through spiritual & academic growth, servant leadership, and authentic relationships in the name of Jesus Christ. To assist in the daily operations and facility needs for Evansville Christian School.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old; high school diploma or GED.
  • Physically fulfill the job duties including the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Arrive on time and work the full shift assigned (approx. 7:30am-4:00pm)
  • Spend 80-90% of work time on your feet doing a wide variety of moderate physical activity both indoors and outdoors.
  • Self-motivated to work independently with little supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Good problem solving and prioritization skills.
  • Agree with ECS’ Statement of Faith and abide by ECS’ Standard of Conduct, and demonstrate support of ECS faculty/staff and policies
  • Have a heart for children, Christian education, and the ministry of ECS
  • Model a Godly, caring attitude and operate in accord with biblical values; including servant leadership, integrity, wisdom, teamwork, and open/honest communication in an atmosphere that nurtures continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Respond to immediate facility needs.
  • Restock/spot clean restrooms when necessary and sweep/mop/vacuum as required.
  • Respond to work order requests from ECS staff in a timely manner.
  • Maintain exterior of property, ensure that parking lots are clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor playground clean up; empty trash receptacles.
  • Survey inventory of cleaning materials and supplies.
  • Set up and tear down tables & chairs for events & programs as needed.
  • Assist Facility Team with any other duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture by promoting school policy, interacting with students appropriately, and following proper chain of command protocols.
  • Painting/repair as needed.
  • Provide emergency “on call” services which may require occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Troubleshoot issues with plumbing (for example dripping faucets, clogged toilets, slow drains) and electrical (for example light bulbs & basic repairs).
  • Assemble and/or repair furniture items as necessary.
  • Perform minor repairs, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities.
  • Assist in changing all filters for HVAC as required.
  • Deep cleaning during school breaks (Fall, Christmas, Spring, Summer).
  • Perform other school duties as requested by supervisor
