About The Position

Supports campus operations by directly assisting the Facilities Manager in maintaining and preparing spaces for services, events, and handling repairs and logistics.

Requirements

• Active follower of Jesus, committed to the culture and values of VLC.
• Aptitude for manual labor.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Able to stay focused and complete tasks with limited supervision.
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in facility maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related trades.
• Experience with power tools and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Manager in performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure church facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Assist with the setup, teardown, and room preparation for church services, events, and special activities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Operate and maintain facility equipment, tools, and systems in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related issues as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned
