About The Position

We're looking for dedicated people with the skills and vision to build a better tomorrow! By joining our distribution Facilities team, you will assist the maintaining operational readiness and implementing facility related improvements. We are looking for a Facilities Assistant – 2nd Shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm). This position will be based at our Southaven, MS location (Memphis Distribution Center).

Requirements

• To be able to lift 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Certification on Order picker and counterbalance lifts
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3pm - 11:30pm)
• Ability to work with common hand tools.
• Must be able to work in a non-climatized warehouse environment.
• Must be able to change Forklift batteries in a timely matter.
• Must possess a positive attitude, work well with others inside and outside the department and have good oral communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated, independent worker who can take limited direction while making good decisions in the workplace.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Can solve basic math problems and know how to use a ruler.
• Preferred experience of working independently for 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary lift battery attendant on 1st shift to ensure all lift have batteries change safely and expediently.
• Operate a floor sweeper and scrubber daily.
• Replenish water bottles and cups daily. Also, replace the water dispensers as needed.
• Remove and replace damaged racks.
• Pallet recycling daily
• Put away supplies from suppliers, i.e., cardboard, labels, etc.
• Keep Supply racks organized and clean.
• Minor maintenance task
• Assembly furniture
• Evaluate machines issues, conveyors, and report to facilities coordinator timely.
• Minor plumbing and cleaning
• Maintain cleanliness front office parking lots as needed.
• Conduct monthly inspections on ladder
• Inspect Racks and eyewash for serviceability weekly.

Benefits

• The pay for this position is 18.50 per hour, plus an additional 0.75 shift differential.
