This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and inspecting the work of building maintenance crews and operators. The Facilities Assistant will assist in enforcing house policies and safety regulations with contractors, vendors, and clients during events. A key part of the role is implementing and maintaining a catalog of maintenance records and reports for projects and work tasks, including fire inspections, HVAC maintenance, custodial inventory, and general repairs. The position requires maintaining all facility-related operating systems, operational logs, and records for equipment and inventory. This includes managing hearing assistance devices, radio equipment, HVAC, auditorium seating, tools, supplies, and work order requests, as well as overseeing building opening and closing procedures. The Facilities Assistant will also oversee the daily functions of operations and maintenance, including cleaning services, event setup/breakdown in various spaces, managing displays, and coordinating with staff on special projects. Inventory, maintenance, storage, and security of all equipment and properties under the operations department are also key responsibilities. The role involves overseeing the general upkeep, cleanliness, and preparedness of all physical spaces within the facility. A continuous effort to improve operations, streamline processes, and work cooperatively with staff to provide quality services is expected. The Facilities Assistant will assist in maintaining a safe environment during events and maintain a visible presence when the venue is open to the public. Assistance to the production department as needed is also part of the role.
