University Housing Facilities is looking for an experienced Facilities Assistant Director - Maintenance to join our Team! This position is a key member of the Housing Facilities Leadership Team and assists in planning and providing for the facilities needs of roughly 3 million sq ft of housing and dining space within University Housing. This position provides direction for maintenance operations including preventative maintenance programs and fire/life safety systems and works collaboratively with other leadership team members to provide seamless customer service to our residents and guests. Additionally, this position works with other housing leadership to meet the needs of housing, dining and conference operations year-round. The Facilities Assistant Director – Maintenance also manages the life cycling of equipment and manages routine maintenance and repairs budgets for Housing Facilities. They are developing schedules and operational work plans for multiple units and are responsible for developing and implementation operation policies and procedures to ensure employee safety and compliance with regulations. It is essential that the person in this role has significant trades maintenance experience in skilled mechanical trades (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, steamfitter etc.) and experience in supervising technical staff to provide appropriate levels of support to front line supervisors. University Housing Facilities leadership work closely together to support the needs of our resident community and to ensure an excellent work environment for our staff. As part of the Facilities leadership team, you’ll lead and support area staff, provide timely communications on projects, share important updates with stakeholders, and provide your thoughts and expertise on day-to-day and long-term strategies.
