Part Time: Facilities Assistant & Back Up Courier
About The Position
This part-time position provides backup courier support during times of short staffing and whenever on-call courier support is not available. Responsibilities include picking up pathology specimens from client sites and delivering them to Clin-Path Diagnostics Laboratory, delivering slides to off-site pathologists, and delivering supplies to clients. Maintaining courier cars, including regular maintenance, washing, and vacuuming, is also a key responsibility. This is a client-facing role, requiring couriers to be well-groomed and wear a clean, pressed uniform. Uniform shirts and jackets will be provided, while slacks/shorts and shoes are the employee's responsibility. Company cars and cell phones will be provided. If courier support is not needed, the role involves assisting with stocking supplies and other facilities duties as assigned. Employees must adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including regulatory standards such as CAP, CLIA, and OSHA, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Current AZ driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Warehousing experience.
- Ability to self direct.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must understand and be able to adhere to hazardous and biohazardous waste handling requirements.
- Must undergo DOT and RCRA hazardous waste training.

Responsibilities
- Assist as needed with ordering, receiving, maintaining, and dispensing in-house and client supplies.
- Assist with maintaining block and slide storage area.
- Assist with stocking supplies.
- Assist with facilities duties as assigned.
- Pick up pathology specimens from client sites and deliver them in a confidential, safe and secure fashion to Clin-Path Diagnostics laboratory for processing and analysis.
- Deliver slides, mail, etc. to off-site pathologists.
- Maintain courier cars, assuring that all regular maintenance is performed and that the car is washed and vacuumed on a regular basis.
- Deliver client supplies.
- Available for stat/will-call pickups as needed.
- Act as a liaison between clients and Clin-Path Diagnostics’ marketing staff.
- Participates in yearly Defensive Driving Class.
