Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Facilities and Maintenance Manager based at our Houston facility. Reporting to the Site Leader, the Facilities and Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and construction operations for our properties. This role ensures peak building performance, system reliability, and full regulatory compliance through effective policy implementation and contractor management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in facilities management or engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, local building codes, and safety laws.
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to oversee construction projects and manage external vendors.
  • Experience tracking work orders and managing operational budgets.
  • Strong track record of training, supervising, and mentoring team members.

Nice To Haves

  • CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or FMP credential preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties.
  • Implement policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
  • Monitor daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability.
  • Track work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines.
  • Train supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations.
  • Oversee vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects.
